I’d like to introduce you to my favourite men of the moment, Scotsman Declan Ramsay, and Englishman Sam Aiken, from my “Shatterproof Bond” series. The three M/M comedy thrillers that make up the series are packed with intrigue, action, love, humour, and smouldering sex.
Sam and Declan’s humorous love story unfolds when they meet and fall in love at their siblings wedding, at a Scottish castle, in the book “As You Wish”, which is available FREE here at All Romance eBooks. But like all good love stories, the path to happiness has a few bumps along the way.
Declan Ramsay’s life before meeting Sam Aiken had been in free fall. Professionally, the thirty-two year-old Scotsman was ahead of the game. He worked for Aiken Luxury Lettings, (A.L.L) where he managed Sir James Aiken’s property portfolio, and enjoyed the perks that schmoozing with the rich and famous offered. However, Declan’s private life was a mess. He was a serial dater, commitment phobic, and had never been in a relationship for more than three months.
Sam Aiken, James’s twenty-three year-old son, had been in the Middle-East studying Linguistics, and interpreting for his father’s foreign property deals. He met Declan for the first time at Heathrow Airport in London, and began a journey that would change his life forever.
These lovers face many obstacles throughout the books “As You Wish” and “Illuminate the Shadows” and by the time we get to “Return to Zero”, which will be published on 6th June 2016, the men are in a committed relationship.
The biggest boulder they face on the road to happiness is Sam’s father, and Declan’s boss, Sir James Aiken. Imagine Alexander Skarsgaard morphed with Mads Mikklesen -- blond, attractive, and very, very dangerous. James Aiken is the man you will love to hate, and still feel attracted to.
Sam and Declan make an excellent team, and not only in the bedroom! In the upcoming new novel “Return to Zero” we see Sam and Declan returning to Scotland. Two agents are missing -- presumed dead, while on a reconnaissance mission at an outdoor adventure centre in the Scottish Highlands. Sir James Aiken sends his son and Declan to follow the trail, and discover the fate of the agents. The assignment offers Declan his first chance to use the skills he learned on an agents training course in Morocco, and he is keen to get started. However, Sir James sees to it that the seeds of doubt and discord have been sewn between the couple as they begin their mission.
The journey to their Highland location, and the discoveries Sam and Declan make there prove that Sir James Aiken has been less than honest with his agents. Events in the Highlands force Sam and Declan to face their greatest fears, and understand what they both really want from life -- and from each other.
